How to Choose an MCA Lead Provider
The wrong lead vendor costs you more than money. Use these 15 questions to test any merchant cash advance lead provider before you send a dollar, including us.
Get MCA leads
Step 1 of 3Three quick steps. We reply the same business day.
Choose an MCA lead provider by asking where its traffic comes from, how it vets publishers, whether leads are exclusive, what consent record comes with each lead, what its return policy is, which filters you can set, how fast leads are delivered and whether you can start with a test order. LoanLeads.io answers each question below, and tells you plainly where you should ask us on a call.
What should you ask an MCA lead provider before you buy?
Ask questions that force specific answers about traffic, consent, exclusivity, filters, delivery, pricing and recourse. Vague answers to any of these are your signal to slow down. Here is the full checklist:
- Where does your traffic come from, by channel?
- How do you vet the publishers who generate it?
- What happens to a publisher who breaks your rules?
- Are the leads exclusive to me, or sold to several buyers?
- How old is a lead when I receive it, and how do you define aged?
- How is TCPA consent captured on the form?
- Do you provide a third-party consent certificate, such as TrustedForm or Jornaya LeadiD, with each lead?
- What is your return or replacement policy for bad data?
- Which filters can I set on my campaign?
- How and how fast are leads delivered?
- Can I run a small test order before committing to volume?
- How is pricing structured, and what changes it?
- Do you focus on loan products, or sell every vertical?
- Can you share client results I can verify?
- Who do I call when something goes wrong?
The sections below explain why each question matters and what a good answer sounds like.
Where does the provider's traffic come from?
A good provider can name its traffic channels and explain how a merchant reached the form. That answer tells you more about lead quality than any sales pitch.
MCA inquiries come from many places: paid search, social ads, content sites, email, and comparison or marketplace sites. Each channel produces a different kind of merchant. Someone who searched for working capital at 10 p.m. behaves differently from someone who clicked an ad while scrolling. Neither is bad, but you should know what you are buying.
Ask the follow-ups too. Who are the publishers? Are they vetted before they run traffic, or after complaints arrive? Is the provider loan-focused, or is MCA one of 40 verticals it resells?
LoanLeads.io is a loan-only lead marketplace that works with vetted affiliates and publishers. Before a publisher runs traffic, we review its traffic sources, historical lead performance, creatives and landing pages, compliance procedures including TCPA consent language and privacy policy, and its experience in the vertical. Publishers who break compliance or quality rules are removed. If you want detail on the sources behind your specific campaign, ask us on a call.
Are the leads exclusive, and how fresh are they?
Exclusive means the lead is sold to you and no one else. Shared means several buyers receive the same merchant, often within seconds of each other. Get the definition in writing, because vendors use these words loosely.
Freshness matters just as much. A real-time lead should reach your CRM the moment the merchant submits. Aged leads are older inquiries sold at a lower price, and the age range should be stated clearly: a lead that is a few days old and one that is several months old are different products.
LoanLeads.io offers real-time exclusive MCA leads delivered the moment a merchant submits, shared real-time slots with the sharing schedule spelled out (slot 1 is delivered live, then shared with one other ISO at 24 hours and another at 48 hours), aged MCA leads at a lower price per record, and live transfers where the merchant is already on the phone. Aged records are sold in tiers with a stated maximum age, from under 3 months to under 6 months depending on the merchant's monthly revenue.
What consent records should come with each lead?
Every lead you call should carry proof of how and when the merchant agreed to be contacted. If a dispute arises, that proof is what you will rely on.
Two third-party tools are common in lead generation:
- TrustedForm, from ActiveProspect, captures the page and the user's interactions during a form submission and issues a unique certificate URL, an independent record of what the person saw and did.
- Jornaya LeadiD assigns a unique identifier to the lead event and records the consumer's journey on the form, which compliance teams use as an audit trail.
Ask the provider which record you get, whether it is attached to each lead in the delivery, and how long it is stored. Also ask to see the actual consent language on the form.
The rules keep moving. The FCC adopted a one-to-one consent rule aimed at lead generators, and the Eleventh Circuit vacated it in January 2025 in Insurance Marketing Coalition v. FCC. Consent must still be given before the call under the TCPA where it applies. This is a general summary as of 2026, not legal advice; confirm current requirements with counsel.
LoanLeads.io captures TCPA consent on every lead and aligns with CCPA and CAN-SPAM. To confirm which consent record and certificate format comes with your campaign, ask us on a call.
Which filters, delivery options and test terms should you expect?
You should be able to filter on the facts that decide whether a merchant fits your funders, receive leads instantly and test before you scale. Anything less shifts the risk onto you.
For MCA, the filters that matter most are credit score range, advance amount, monthly revenue, time in business, industry and state. Ask whether each one is a hard filter, meaning the lead is never sent if it fails, or a soft preference.
For delivery, ask whether leads post straight to your CRM by API or webhook, how fast, and what happens if your system is down. Then ask about a test order: how small it can be, and whether the price per lead changes when you scale.
LoanLeads.io supports all six filters listed above, delivers in real time by API, webhook or posting into your CRM or to an inbox, and lets buyers start with a small test order before scaling. Prices for real-time and aged leads are published on our MCA lead pricing page, and live transfers are quoted per call. Our guide to buying MCA leads walks through setting up that first order.
What about returns, references and support?
Before you buy, know what happens when a lead is bad, who has bought before you and who picks up the phone. These are the questions buyers most often forget to ask.
Returns. Ask what qualifies for a return or replacement (a disconnected number, a duplicate, a merchant outside your filters), how long you have to request one, and how it is credited. Get it in writing. LoanLeads.io's replacement policy is written into its lead production order: replacements are at our sole discretion, the request must come within 3 days of receiving the lead, and valid reasons are a disconnected or invalid phone number, a clear duplicate (with proof of prior delivery within 30 days), a lead who explicitly says they never inquired (real-time leads only), or a lead outside the agreed geographic targeting. All fees are non-refundable.
References. Ask for results you can check, not logos on a slide. The client result we publish is from Edward, an MCA funder, who said on a recorded review call that one aged-lead order produced five funded deals, including a $600,000 deal and a $52,000 deal, for just shy of $1 million funded. His words: "Yeah, I'm really impressed with the aged."
Support. Ask for a named contact and a phone number. You can reach LoanLeads.io at (647) 709-5026 or book a call.
What are the red flags in an MCA lead provider?
The biggest red flag is a provider that will not answer specific questions. A few others show up again and again:
- No traffic disclosure. They will not say which channels produce the leads.
- Exclusive in name only. The same merchant tells your rep that four other companies called in the last ten minutes.
- No consent record. They cannot show the form, the consent language or a certificate for a sample lead.
- Volume promises with no filters. Huge numbers on offer, but you cannot filter by revenue or time in business.
- Guaranteed results. Any promise of a set number of funded deals or a fixed ROI. No one can promise that.
- Big minimums, no test. They require a large first purchase before you have seen a single lead.
- Aged with no date. They sell aged leads without stating how old they are.
- Unverifiable proof. Testimonials with no names, no specifics and nothing you could ever check.
How does LoanLeads.io answer the checklist?
Here is each item side by side, with what to look for, why it matters and how we handle it. Where an answer depends on your campaign, we say so.
| What to look for | Why it matters | How LoanLeads.io handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Disclosed traffic sources | Channel shapes merchant intent and contact rates | Vetted affiliates and publishers; ask on a call for the sources behind your campaign |
| Publisher vetting | Weak publishers produce junk and compliance risk | Traffic sources, past lead performance, creatives, landing pages, compliance procedures and vertical expertise reviewed before traffic runs |
| Enforcement | Rules mean nothing without consequences | Publishers who break compliance or quality rules are removed |
| Exclusivity | Shared leads mean a race to the phone | Exclusive real-time leads, or shared slots with a fixed sharing schedule; ask about aged file history |
| Consent capture | Your defense if a call is challenged | TCPA consent captured on every lead; CCPA and CAN-SPAM alignment |
| Consent certificates | Third-party proof of the form event | Ask us on a call which record comes with your campaign |
| Return policy | Recourse for bad data | Replacements at our discretion, requested within 3 days, for invalid numbers, proven duplicates, never-inquired real-time leads or out-of-area leads; fees are non-refundable |
| Filters | Keeps out merchants you cannot place | Credit score, advance amount, monthly revenue, time in business, industry, state |
| Delivery speed | Minutes decide contact | Real time, by API, webhook or posting to your CRM, or to an inbox |
| Test order | Proof before commitment | Start with a 150-lead real-time pack or a 5,000-record aged order, then scale |
| Pricing | You need to model cost per funded deal | Published per lead and per record for real-time and aged leads; live transfers quoted per call |
| Vertical focus | Specialists understand MCA buyers | Loan-only marketplace with MCA as the main offer |
| Verifiable results | Proof you can check | Edward: one aged order, five funded deals, just shy of $1 million funded |

Buyers who came back for more
Two real LoanLeads.io buyers, in their own words.
“Yeah, I'm really impressed with the aged.”
“My team is very happy with your leads. So that's why I want to personally call and inform you that. We'll do the same mix, 50-50, but we'll just double the volume. I'm happy. My team is happy. They don't complain about leads.”
Questions buyers ask
What is the most important question to ask an MCA lead provider?
Ask where the traffic comes from and how publishers are vetted. Almost everything else, including contact rates, consent quality and complaint risk, flows from the source of the leads. A provider that gives you a specific, checkable answer to that question is usually willing to answer the rest of your checklist too.
What is a TrustedForm certificate?
A TrustedForm certificate is a record created by ActiveProspect's TrustedForm tool when a person submits a web form. It captures the page and the user's interactions and is stored at a unique certificate URL. Buyers use it as independent evidence of what the person saw and did when they submitted their information.
What is Jornaya LeadiD?
Jornaya LeadiD is a unique identifier attached to a lead event when someone completes a form. It records the consumer's journey on the form, and compliance teams use the related reports as an audit trail. Like TrustedForm, it helps a buyer show how and when a lead was created.
Should an MCA lead provider offer refunds or returns?
Many providers offer some form of return or replacement for clearly bad data, such as disconnected numbers, duplicates or leads outside your filters. Terms vary widely, so get them in writing before you buy. LoanLeads.io replaces leads at its discretion when you ask within 3 days for an invalid number, a proven duplicate, a real-time lead who says they never inquired, or a lead outside your targeting; fees are non-refundable.
How can I tell if MCA leads are really exclusive?
Get the definition in writing, then listen to your merchants. If several of them say other companies called within minutes of their inquiry, the leads are probably not exclusive. Track that feedback by order. A short test order is the cheapest way to find out before you commit to volume.
Is the FCC one-to-one consent rule in effect?
No. The Eleventh Circuit vacated the FCC's one-to-one consent rule in January 2025 in Insurance Marketing Coalition v. FCC, one business day before it was set to take effect. TCPA consent requirements still apply where the law covers your calls. Rules change, so confirm the current position with counsel before relying on any summary.
Why does a loan-only lead provider matter?
A provider focused on loan products tends to understand what funders and brokers need: the right filters, the right form questions and publishers with experience in the vertical. LoanLeads.io only sells loan-related leads, with merchant cash advance as its main offer, alongside business, personal, mortgage and debt relief verticals.
Can I test LoanLeads.io before buying in volume?
Yes. Buyers can start with a small test order, check contact, application and funded results, then scale what works. The smallest real-time pack is 150 leads and the smallest aged order is 5,000 records, both at published prices on our order page. Book a call or phone (647) 709-5026 if you want help choosing.
What red flags suggest a lead provider is low quality?
Watch for refusal to disclose traffic sources, no consent records for sample leads, guaranteed funding numbers, large minimum orders with no test, aged leads sold without a stated age, and testimonials no one could verify. Any one of these is a reason to ask harder questions; several together are a reason to walk away.
