How Much Do MCA Leads Cost?

MCA lead prices depend on the pricing model, lead age, exclusivity and filters. Learn how quotes are built and why cost per funded deal is the number that matters.

Short answer

MCA lead cost depends on four things: the pricing model (cost per lead, price per aged record, or pay-per-call), how fresh the lead is, whether it is exclusive, and how tight your filters are. LoanLeads.io publishes its prices: real-time leads cost $15 to $60 per lead, aged records $0.20 to $1.00 per record, and live transfers are quoted per call. The useful comparison is cost per funded deal, not the price of a single lead.

Why is there no single price for MCA leads?

There is no single price because "MCA lead" describes several different products. A merchant who submitted a form 20 seconds ago and goes to one buyer is a different asset from a six-month-old record that has been sold before. A live caller who is already on the line is different again.

Any honest provider will want to know what you need: which states, what monthly revenue floor, how long in business, which industries, how many leads a day, and whether you want real-time, aged or live transfers. Those answers decide which product fits and what it costs. A published price list is only useful if it says exactly what each price buys. LoanLeads.io prices aged leads by the merchant's monthly revenue tier and the maximum age of the record, and real-time leads by how many ISOs receive the lead and when, so every price maps to a defined product. Be wary of a flat price that does not say what it covers.

At LoanLeads.io, real-time and aged MCA leads have published prices, shown in the next section, and live transfers are quoted per call. The full tables, with every pack size and aged tier, are on our MCA lead pricing page.

What does LoanLeads.io charge for MCA leads?

LoanLeads.io charges $60 per exclusive real-time lead and $35, $25 or $15 per shared lead, with aged records from $0.20 to $1.00 each. Everything is paid 100% upfront, and a 4% processing fee applies.

Shared slot 2$25 per lead24 hours aged; 1 ISO before you, 1 more at 48 hours

Real-time leads come in packs of 150, 500 or 1,000, with 20% off at 500 and 30% off at 1,000. Aged orders get 10% off at 20,000 records, 25% off at 50,000 and 50% off at 100,000, so 20,000 records in the $0.40 tier cost $7,200 instead of $8,000. Notice how the prices follow the factors below: exclusivity and age set the real-time price, and revenue and age set the aged price. Orders are placed on the order page.

What pricing models do MCA lead providers use?

Most providers use one of three models, and each one shifts risk between you and the seller differently.

ModelWhat you pay forWho carries the riskGood fit for
Cost per lead (CPL), real-timeEach merchant inquiry delivered to you as it happensYou carry the contact risk; the seller carries the generation costShops that call within minutes and want fresh intent
Price per record, agedOlder inquiries, often priced by age band and volumeYou carry most of the risk, in exchange for a much lower unit priceTeams with dialers and long follow-up cadences
Pay-per-call, live transferA merchant transferred live to your rep, usually counted once the call passes a set durationThe seller carries more risk, because no connected call means no chargeClosers who want conversations, not lists

Some providers also sell appointment setting or run hybrid models. Whatever the label, ask what event triggers a charge. "Delivered," "connected" and "qualified" are three very different events.

What factors move the price of an MCA lead?

Seven factors explain most of the difference between two MCA lead quotes.

  1. Age. Fresh leads cost more than aged ones. Within aged inventory, older bands usually cost less than newer ones.
  2. Exclusivity. A lead sold to one buyer costs more than one sold to several. Our comparison of exclusive and shared MCA leads covers the tradeoff in detail.
  3. Filter tightness. Every filter you add (a higher revenue floor, longer time in business, a credit band, specific industries) shrinks the pool of qualifying merchants and raises the cost to generate each one.
  4. Geography. Targeting a handful of states costs more per lead than accepting national traffic, and some states draw more competition from buyers than others.
  5. Volume and caps. Committing to steady daily volume can improve pricing. Very small daily caps or narrow delivery windows can raise it.
  6. Channel. A live phone transfer requires call-center work or inbound call routing, which typically costs more per unit than a form lead.
  7. Verification. Leads with extra validation, such as phone and email checks or duplicate suppression against your file, carry more processing cost.

Why is the cheapest lead rarely the cheapest deal?

The cheapest lead is rarely the cheapest deal because price per lead ignores how often the lead funds. Here is a worked example.

Hypothetical example. Every number below is invented to illustrate the math. These are not LoanLeads.io prices and not market averages.

Option AOption B
Price per lead$5$50
Leads bought2,000200
Total spend$10,000$10,000
Funded deals24
Cost per funded deal$5,000$2,500

In this made-up case, the lead that costs ten times more produces deals at half the cost. Now flip it: if Option A funded five deals and Option B funded two, Option A would win easily. The price per lead tells you nothing until you know your own conversion rates. That is why we recommend tracking cost per funded deal from your first order.

What hidden costs should you budget for?

The lead invoice is only part of your cost of acquisition. Budget for these as well:

  • Dialer and phone seats. Power dialers, local presence numbers and call recording each carry monthly fees.
  • Texting and email. Per-message fees and the platform that sends them, plus the registration work some carriers require for business texting.
  • Data hygiene. Scrubbing against the National Do Not Call Registry, your internal do-not-call list and any litigator lists you choose to use.
  • Rep time. Commission and salary for the hours spent working the leads. Aged files in particular consume dialing hours.
  • Underwriting and submission. Time spent packaging files that do not get approved.
  • Compliance support. Legal review of scripts, consent language and state disclosure obligations.

Add these to lead spend before you calculate return. A lead source that looks profitable on the invoice alone can lose money once dialing hours are counted, and the reverse can also be true.

Should ISOs and direct funders budget differently?

Yes, because the two earn money on a deal in different ways. An ISO or broker typically earns a commission when a funder pays out on a deal, so the budget question is simple: how much lead spend can one funded commission cover, and how many funded deals does a month of spend need to produce to stay ahead?

A direct funder earns over the life of the advance, as receivables are collected, and also carries the risk that a merchant underperforms. That changes the math in two ways. First, a funder can justify a higher acquisition cost for merchants who renew, because the first deal is only the start of the relationship. Second, a funder should weight lead quality toward merchants who perform, not merely merchants who sign.

In practice, ISOs often start with tighter budgets and smaller test orders, while funders with in-house sales teams tend to buy steadier daily volume. Neither approach is right for everyone. Set a target cost per funded deal from your own margins first, then work backward to the lead budget and lead type that can hit it.

What should you ask before accepting an MCA lead quote?

Ask questions that tell you exactly what you are paying for. A good provider answers all of them in writing.

  1. Is each lead sold to me alone, or to several buyers? If shared, to how many?
  2. How old is the lead at delivery, and how is age measured for aged files?
  3. Which filters are applied at the source, and which are applied after the fact?
  4. What triggers a charge on a live transfer, and what is the minimum call duration?
  5. How is TCPA consent captured, and can I get the consent record for a lead?
  6. What is your process for bad data, such as disconnected numbers or duplicates?
  7. Can I start with a test order before committing to volume?

Our guide on how to choose an MCA lead provider goes deeper on red flags, such as refusing to name traffic sources or offering prices that seem too low for the filters you asked for.

How do you buy MCA leads from LoanLeads.io?

You buy real-time and aged leads online at the published prices, and you get live-transfer pricing on a call.

The usual path is short: choose real-time, aged or a mix; pick a pack of 150, 500 or 1,000 real-time leads or an aged order of 5,000 records or more; and decide how you want leads delivered, whether by API, webhook or email. Then place the order on the order page, where you fill in your company details, accept the lead production order terms and pay. Most buyers then place a small test order, read the numbers and scale what works.

FAQ

Questions on this topic

What is the average cost of an MCA lead?

There is no reliable public average, because prices depend on lead age, exclusivity, filters, geography and volume. A broad aged record and a tightly filtered real-time exclusive lead are different products. For reference, LoanLeads.io's published prices run from $15 to $60 per real-time lead and $0.20 to $1.00 per aged record. Rather than chase an average, compare sources on cost per funded deal once you have run a test order.

Is pay-per-call more expensive than cost per lead?

Per unit, a live transfer usually costs more than a form lead, because the merchant is already on the phone and the seller absorbs the cost of calls that never connect. Per funded deal, it can work out cheaper or more expensive depending on your closing rate. Ask what call duration triggers a charge before comparing.

Why are aged MCA leads so much cheaper?

Aged leads are cheaper because the original inquiry happened days or months ago. Some merchants have already funded elsewhere, and contact rates are lower, so the price reflects more work per deal. For teams with dialers and a disciplined cadence, that lower price can still produce strong results, as one LoanLeads.io client found with five funded deals from one aged order.

Do tighter filters always raise the price?

Generally, yes. Every filter shrinks the pool of qualifying merchants, so the cost to generate each lead rises. Tighter filters can still lower your cost per funded deal if they remove merchants you would never fund. Start with the filters your funders actually require, then adjust after you see results.

Does LoanLeads.io publish a price list?

Yes. Real-time MCA leads cost $60 exclusive or $35, $25 and $15 in shared slots, in packs of 150, 500 or 1,000 with 20% and 30% volume discounts. Aged records cost $0.20 to $1.00 by revenue tier and age, with a 5,000-record minimum and bulk discounts from 20,000 records. A 4% processing fee applies. Live transfers are still quoted per call. Order online at /order/ or see the full tables at /mca-leads/pricing/.

What costs besides the leads should I count?

Count dialer and phone seats, texting fees, Do Not Call scrubbing, rep salaries and commissions, time spent on files that do not fund, and legal review of your scripts and disclosures. Adding these to lead spend gives you a true cost of acquisition, which is the number that tells you whether a lead source is profitable.
